Partnering for Shared Success | STORIN Forms a Strategic Partnership with Japanese Logistics Leader KANTSU HD to Accelerate Smart Logistics Expansion in East Asia

On June 3, 2026, STORIN JP Co., Ltd. (“STORIN”) signed a business cooperation agreement with KANTSU HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (“KANTSU HD”), which operates in logistics, IT automation, and security. The agreement aims to promote the adoption of automation solutions in Japan and develop the robotics business.

KANTSU HD is headquartered in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture. Hisahiro Tatsushiro serves as Chairman and Representative Director, and Yoshitaku Tatsushiro serves as President and Representative Director.The two companies will combine KANTSU HD’s experience in logistics operations in Japan with STORIN’s automation technologies, proven through real-world applications in China. Together, they aim to expand their business base in Japan’s logistics automation market and secure market share as early as possible.

Japan’s logistics industry faces structural challenges, including labor shortages driven by declining birth rates and an aging population, as well as rising logistics costs. These pressures are driving continued growth in demand for logistics automation. Japan’s logistics automation market is projected to grow to JPY 1.9 trillion by 2034.

Combining Strengths: Integrating Advanced Technology with Local Operations in Japan

STORIN will combine its capabilities in automation equipment procurement, system integration, and rapid solution development with KANTSU HD’s local industry experience and customer base. Together, they will provide integrated automation solutions for the Japanese market, from planning through implementation.

Both companies will develop their business in Japan around the following five solution areas:

High-Frequency Picking of Small Items: Using goods-to-person (GTP) systems and tote-handling robots to improve picking efficiency.

High-Density Storage: Using equipment such as four-way shuttles to increase storage capacity per unit of floor space.

Unmanned Material Handling: Using AGVs, AGFs, and AMRs to automate material movement within warehouses.

High-Speed Sorting and Dispatch: Using automated sorters and automated labeling equipment to improve shipment accuracy.

Robotic Operations: Using robotic arms and other equipment to automate repetitive tasks.

At the heart of this partnership is the use of KANTSU HD’s own logistics centers as live demonstration sites, allowing customers to see how the solutions work in real business operations.

Phase 1: Introduce STORIN’s solutions first at KANTSU HD’s own sites and existing customers’ sites, and demonstrate the systems in operation.

Phase 2: Use operational data and demonstration results to develop implementation case studies that logistics companies and shippers can reference, while attracting new customers.

Phase 3: Promote wider industry adoption, pursue large-scale projects, and grow recurring revenue through maintenance services and additional deployments.

The companies are currently working on several logistics automation projects involving 3D automated sorters, smart locker-based storage solutions for high-value goods such as trading cards, and the use of GTP systems, robotic arms, AGVs, and AGFs.
